ISM CODE Manual & Moke Audit

  •   If you are planning to open a shipping company with merchant ships to fly on international waters for export and import of cargo, one of the first thing to be eligible to do this business is to comply with International Management code for safe operation of ship and pollution prevention .
  • International Safety Management Code is a set of guidelines for shipping companies and its employees, both on ship and shore, to ensure that the ship and the companies are operating as per guidelines of SOLAS i.e. safety is never compromised and pollution awareness is present.
  • Mock up ISM AUDIT on board with a perspective of PSC Targets /Test of ISM implementation on board – Duration 2 days on board training, - follow up and close out corrective actions and prevention of re-occurrence in any ships in the fleet.
  • Any ship management company must have a Safety Management System (SMS), which meets the requirements of the ISM Code and it should be documented, implemented and maintained.
  • The most meaningful initial consideration prior to implementation of the ISM Code, is the determination by senior management of the level to which their company will comply with the Code.
  • The company should then obtain a DOC for the main office and SMC(s) for their Ship(s), upon satisfactory completion of Audits conducted by the Flag State Administration, otherwise the Company is not legally able to engage in any International Shipping business. It is prudent to plan the audits well in advance of their deadline.

What we do for you:

To assist ship operators to comply with SMS requirements, we have developed a Safety Management Systems guide,  sample SMS documents and a number of sample forms and checklists that can be adjusted to your fleet. The Code provides a variety of measures to promote improvement through active employment of the following principles:

Reporting of Nonconformance’s and Near-Accidents; Procedures for the Implementation of Corrective Action; Master’s Management Review; Internal Audits; and Management Review. We assists in developing and implementing of all sub-systems.
